A 30 minute workout is just two percent of your day!
Hi all! Happy September! My habit for August was to get at least 30 minutes of exercise a day.
Why this habit?
You might ask that exercise is something I need to do throughout the year. Why do I have to pick it as a habit of the month. I knew August was going to be a weird month because we would be out of country (Europe) for 2 1/2 weeks. So I had to pick something I could do outside of the country and at the same time that is good for me and/or the family. I knew I would be walking a lot in Europe. And even if we didn’t have to walk any given day, I should be able to take 30 minutes out of my day to exercise.
Now I will not go into the benefits of exercising since that will be lame. I think at this point in time, we all know the why behind it.
How did I do?
I did reasonably well until the day I was back from vacation – August 24th and then everything went downhill. So I give myself three stars! My step count averaged 15000 steps during the two and half weeks vacation. I am super happy about it though. We visited two countries – France (Paris) and Switzerland (Geneva, Zermatt, Grindelwald and Interlaken area, Lucerne and Zurich). We didn’t rent a car. So all our travel was in trains, which was a great experience.
